Catalytic converter is a device used to reduce the toxicity of emissions from an internal combustion engine. By cleaning up the pollutants left over from combustion through chemical Oxidation and Reduction reactions, the catalytic converters convert the tailpipe emissions of hydrocarbons (HC) and carbon monoxide (CO) into nitrogen (N₂), carbon dioxide (CO₂) and water (H₂O), and elevate the harmful emissions to extremely low levels.
Our special exhaust gas catalytic converter for CNG engine is made of Metallic Substrate catalyst and Honeycomb Ceramic catalyst, the exhaust gas pass through the catalyst and the active ingredient of catalyst (mostly are metal oxide of rare earths, precious metal and transitional metal) is able to carry out the catalysed reaction fully under the temperature condition of 200 to 300 celsius temperature aboved converting the harmful element such as CO, HC, NOX etc. to innocuous water, carbon dioxide and nitrogen.
